I’m Harriet – a coach, former gymnast, and trained teacher and those three threads shape how I work.

Gymnastics gave me strength, coordination, and a deep respect for practice. Teaching showed me how differently people learn, and how important it is to communicate complex ideas clearly. After leaving the classroom, I followed my passion for movement into coaching, combining my background in gymnastics with strength and conditioning and Olympic weightlifting.

Today, I help people learn how to build strength and skill in a way that makes sense and fits in with their lifestyle.

Strength and Skill are Learned, not Forced

One thing I’ve noticed over the years is that many adults are expected to simply “try harder” when it comes to strength or gymnastics skills.

But movements like handstands, toes to bar, and bar muscle ups don’t come from effort alone. They come from clear progressions, body awareness, strength and consistent practice.

My coaching focuses on helping people understand what they’re doing and why – so training feels connected, purposeful, and sustainable rather than confusing or rushed.

Coaching Adults

Through 1:1 coaching, classes, and workshops, I work with adults who want to get stronger, develop gymnastics skills, and feel more capable in their bodies.

Some people come to me because they want to learn their first handstand.

Others want structured support to build strength or work towards skills like bar muscle-ups, snatches and cleans.

Whatever the starting point, the goal is the same:

To help people train with clarity, confidence, and long-term progress.

Coaching Kids

Alongside my work with adults, I also coach children’s gymnastics.

I’ve coached women’s artistic gymnastics (Level 2) since I was 18, working with children of all ages and abilities. My aim is to create a positive environment where young gymnasts can build coordination, strength, and confidence while developing a genuine enjoyment of movement.

A little more about my experience…

Over the years I’ve coached a wide range of people – from children taking their first steps in gymnastics to adults in their 60s working towards skills they once thought were out of reach.

My coaching is shaped by experience, education, and a genuine belief that everyone can develop strength and skill with the right guidance.
